I highly recommend this nail salon that my friend suggested. After coming here, I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Jessica is my technician, and she is incredibly talented and professional. She ensures everything is perfect every time.

I tried nail extensions for the first time here, opting for an almond shape, and I’m obsessed! Jessica always brings my vision to life, even without me picking the color. I receive many compliments, and my nails last for a month.

The salon is always busy with both manicures and pedicures, so I recommend making an appointment ahead of time. The place is clean, relaxing, and easy to get to, not far from the subway. Highly recommended!

First & last time today! I got regular mani and gel extension removal but the nail tech buffed my nails to the point where it’s flimsy and feels uncomfortable as if I’ve a press on nails. I was assigned an Asian tech and I noticed non Asian customers were assigned non Asian techs. I saw other customers were taken such good care by the other non Asian techs and they were attentive but mine kept disappearing several times. I didn’t know if I was all set to go and asked one of the technicians there to which she asked me to wait. After drying there were patches so I had to ask my tech to fix the discoloration. She sure fixed the discoloration but as you can see in the pictures the layers are awful. Tip is 18-20% recommended and I tipped 18%

There are No discounts for paying Zell when its essentially the same as cash. They don't wanna let you use card to pay. I tried to tip 10$ and she told me it wasn't enough tip. Which is ridiculous. You shouldn't be demanding how much i tip you. You deserved less than 10$ and yet you got 30$ cause it was demanded. My whole side of my pinky nail is missing gel and extention. My nails are only a few days old and yet seems like they are three weeks grown out. Charged 15$ extra per bow on my nails, which is whatever but the quality of the bows are below average. Paid 230 + if I lived there I would definitely demand yall fix my nails. People were okay and quick to work I just didn't feel like quality was important to them. Cute dog walking around the shop however.

I stumbled upon this place this morning, and was absolutely thrilled with the results. I came in with absolutely trashed nails, and left with fabulous nails. I got an SNS manicure. I saw Adriana - and she did a fantastic job! Also - VERY reasonable pricing. I will definitely be back.

Update: 8/10/24
I returned to X Nail Bar earlier this week for another SNS manicure. I was thrilled to find that Adriana happened to be my nail tech again. My nails look DIVINE. Legitimately - Adriana has now given me two manicures, and those are the two best manicures I have ever gotten. Her attention to detail is remarkable. The manicure she gave me back in February lasted A MONTH - and I am pretty hard on my hands. It's only been a couple days since I saw her this time, but I can tell this one is gonna last a long while too. Next time I need a mani in NY, I'll be back!

Horrible service. Uneven french nail. Unashamedly Gossip about you in mandarin because they thought you wouldn’t understand. Nail tech giving you attitude the entire 1.5 hrs of the process. Overall an extremely uncomfortable experience.

Literally so bad, I got extensions and they popped off in 2 weeks. The lady also made 2 of my nails bleed when cutting my cuticles and blamed it on my “hands being sensitive”. When filing my nails they were completely crooked and I had to tell her to fix it, she then blamed it on my hand being tilted. Then when I tried to tip they told me I wasn’t tipping enough despite the bad service and quality

I was going to give 5 stars but the cashier forced me to leave a larger tip. I originally put $15 then he shoved the calculator in my face and told me I HAVE to leave 15-20% gratuity($25) when it says “suggested gratuity not required”
Which I have no problem paying if I wasn’t a first time customer and I’m not sure how long these nails last.
Forcing me to leave a bigger tip was very inappropriate.
My set was $144
I paid $164
I left $20

I walked in and they took me right away even though they looked relatively busy. This is the best dip manicure I’ve ever had. I wish I had gotten my tech’s name so I could request her next time. She was extremely attentive to the tiny details and really took her time to make my nails look flawless. I got a normal pedicure which was also excellent. I felt the prices were reasonable. I would definitely come back!!
