I’ve been loving getting my nails done by Quay! She is always down to try new designs and techniques, takes her time with her clients, and is super skilled and passionate about nails!
At my most recent appointment, she suggested we do a Gel X fill instead of completely taking my Gel X nails off. She did such a great job - and being able to fill my nails is going to be a game changer!
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Would recommend Quay to anyone I know!

My technician was very nice but she was inexperienced & not capable of providing the service. I booked a LCN fill in, she initially started off well but I could tell by the way she drilled the polish off that she did not seem confident & I have been receiving this service for 10 years. I had to tell her she did not take off all my polish & the way she laid the gel left gaps. My appointment was on 10/12 & 2 of my overlays have fell off. Be careful if it is not your normal girl! They hire anyone with a license

Let me start off with saying the staff and nails themselves were done wonderfully until it came to the painting the nail. Back track, when I was first making the appointment, I was not informed I had to choose what I wanted my design to be for my nail (chrome, French, nail art, etc.). I was instead asked the basic questions like when, what service, and if I had been there before, which I responded no. The appointment was made and I carried on my week until the appointment. Flash forward to the appointment, I enter to smiles and welcomes. I check in and pick out my colors for the acrylic set. My friend and I got seated next to each other and instantly my friend was greeted and got straight to work. To add, we were 15 minutes early to the appointment. My nail tech eventually gets to me but instead of the continuous smiles from before she instantly gave me attitude and she was on her phone. She then asks what I would like and I show her an inspo photo that involved a black design for each nail. She immediately starts telling me what she can’t do but says she will accommodate me. She continues to work on the nails and soon as it came to painting the nails, she informed me that I needed to make a special appointment for the artwork. I was confused and asked why, when she explained they only have a certain time length for each individual. She and I agree to have her instead of my artwork, do a basic French nail. But soon as she starts painting, she is rushing the work and getting the paint all over my nail and cuticle. At this point, I could feel her anger towards me and her attitude continued to get worse. After she was done with one hand, I told her that I was not happy with my service so far. She started to get more frustrated towards me and telling me that I was waisting her time. From this, I sent my friend to go talk to the hostess and ask for a new tech who was not rushed or rude. When the hostess agreed to assist, the tech I had said she could finish the job. The nail tech then starts to shave off the color I had before, causing my nail shape to warp without offering to fix it. I went to find a new color, she starts painting but more rushed than last time, and did a horrible job. I finally built enough courage to tell the tech my problems with her service. Which then lead to her walking away and leaving me with my right hand painted sloppy and my left hand was unpainted and messed up. The hostess came over informing me that I had to make a new appointment to have a tech finish my nails. I instead ask for someone to remove the nails that were added but was denied that service. At this point, I was furious and just wanted to leave even though I would be leaving with my hands messed up. I asked for a refund and they rejected me that request. The hostess instead told me the manager wanted to call and ask about my experience, and then they would give me the refund (possibly). Overall, I was treated horribly and the service was terrible. If I remembered the nail tech’s name, I would mention it in this review.

I recently visited this nail salon and was extremely disappointed with the service. The nails were applied so unevenly that they looked sloppy and rushed. I expected a professional finish, but instead, I left with a mess on my hands.

To make matters worse, when I expressed my concerns and asked for a fix, they had the audacity to suggest charging me extra for the correction! It’s frustrating to pay for a service that was poorly executed and then be asked to pay more to fix it. I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend this salon to anyone looking for quality nail care. Save your time and money!

This was my first time at the Nail Bar on Downer and I had a great experience. The place is very clean and my nail tech DaQualya not only did an amazing job with my nails but was super fun to talk to while I was there!! Would highly recommend her to anyone that wants their nails done. I got gel-x nails with French tip that she did by hand and they look amazing!

Just got my nails done today by Viva at the Nail bar on Downer! I had a great experience, the salon was so cute and Viva was very meticulous during every step of the process which I very much appreciate! I’m very happy with my results and experience- thank you Viva! I’ll definitely be booking with Viva again in the future!

My monthly appointment at Nail Bar is always a treat! Viva did my nails today and she’s always attentive and nice to chat with. I told her (and she could tell) that my last mani polish didn’t last very long so she took extra time to ensure this one will last until my next appointment. Thank you so much!

Oh my gosh am I happy and relaxed with beautiful nails to boot! Viva took such good care of me. She is meticulous, paying close attention to detail. Her massages are sooo nice. She takes pride in her craft and wants you to look and feel good. The staff helped me find the colors I was looking for and always are service oriented. I’m just a very happy girl and I love the Nail Bar in general but Viva at the downer location is the best!
